Description:
Designed in 1995, this universally-designed, refrigerator was equipped with back-lit drawers, which made it very convenient for mobility-impaired users, such as those seated in a wheelchair, to be able to access the drawer contents without having to perform awkward, or difficult body positioning. This appliance had the appearance of kitchen cabinetry and was lighted for easier viewing. By creating such universally accommodating designs, all users may benefit, which means those with, as well as those without mobility impairments.
