The partially raised sidewalk in this 2004 image, revealed how this configuration allowed for a grade separation, while providing the opportunity for an accessible route from either end, to the at-grade, sheltered entrances leading to each residential unit. Taking into account those individuals who are mobility-challenged during the design process, produced a product that provided a greater degree of accessibility for all who might visit this site.
