Description:
This 1997 image showed that by mounting an electrical outlet no lower than fifteen inches above floor level, a wheelchair-seated woman could easily insert, or extract an electrical plug without having to maintain an uncomfortable body position. Also, installing the outlet lower than the suggested 15in. would prove difficult to access for those with mobility impairments that hinder them from accomplishing the bending motion. This woman seated in her wheelchair, easily accessed the electrical outlet without difficulty.
