This image was created during an investigation into an outbreak of monkeypox, which took place in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), 1996 to 1997, formerly Zaire. In this particular view, a group of epidemiologists were gathered with a number of Katako-Kombe Health Zone villagers, as they were discussing the distribution, and administration, of epidemiologic questionnaires. Leading this group, was E.I.S. Officer, Yvan Hutin, M.D.
