This photograph depicted Stop Transmission of Polio (Stop) team member, Chris Zahniser, B.S.N., R.N., M.P.H., standing in front of the entrance to the Central Office in Delhi, India in April, 2000. Prior to returning to the United States, the team conducted a debriefing with India's officials informing them about activities undertaken by STOP members, and the progress made from January to April of that year. Ms. Zahniser was assigned to the state of Uttar Pradesh in northern India, and spent three months working in the Districts of Gorakhpur and Deoria.
