U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) National Landscape Architect Bob Snieckus (left) demonstrates the construction and operation of a rain barrel attached to a sustainably built shed that has a green roof to French students from Ecole Du Breuil, School of Horticulture and Landscaping in Paris, France at USDAâs Peopleâs Garden in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012. The class was lead by Landscape Architect Professor HervÃ© Dardillat. The students are on a two-week U.S. tour, which includes a visit to the White House Kitchen garden, as well as gardens and parks in Washington, D.C. The students will also visit Temple University in Philadelphia, PA in addition to parks and gardens in New York City, NY where they will also stay with host families and work on community gardens.
